MMC 227 - User Interface Design for Web Users

Prerequisites: Working knowledge of 64-bit computer systems and folder structures.

Description
This course introduces students to the processes involved in designing intuitive and inclusive web interfaces for target populations. Students create interactive wireframes and personas to be utilized in user experience testing processes. Along with project creations, students also practice integrating current web-accessible practices based on real-world situations. Projects and content created in this course also serve as portfolio pieces for student portfolios.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

Develop user personas based on target audience research.
Produce user pathways to assist with analyzing product interactions.
Design wireframes and layouts to provide interactive final design concepts.
Assess the accessibility of user pathways and layouts for inclusive product design.
Generate user testing questions for collecting feedback regarding design decisions and problems.
