Description This is a course involving the organization and administration of criminal justice system agencies. Topics include functions and activities, planning and research, public relations, personnel and training inspection and control and policy formulation in criminal justice system agencies. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Compare and contrast the management problems between public and private organizations.
- Describe the influence of politics on criminal justice organizations.
- Summarize the functions of management and administration.
- Compare and contrast the models of organization and organizational management.
- Outline how public organizations are funded.
- Describe the civil and criminal liability of managers in criminal justice system organizations.
- Describe the impact of landmark Supreme Court cases on management and administration.
