CIT 182 - Principles of Cybersecurity Credits: 3 3 Lecture Hours
Co-requisites: CIT 120
Description This course provides students with knowledge of cybersecurity trends and techniques. Students acquire technical skills in risk assessment and management, incident response, forensics, enterprise networks, hybrid/cloud operations and security controls. Course objectives are consistent with many of the outcomes specified for CompTIA Security+ certification. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Assess the cybersecurity posture of an enterprise environment.
- Recommend and implement appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
- Monitor and secure hybrid environments.
- Demonstrate an awareness of applicable laws and policies.
- Respond to cybersecurity events and incidents.
