MMT 208 - Backflow Tester Certification

Description
This course offers comprehensive backflow prevention and testing training, adhering to the international standards of American Society of Sanitary Engineers (ASSE). Students engage in laboratory exercises to test and observe backflow prevention devices, exploring the historical development, correction methods and various types of cross-connections. Completion of this course prepares students to earn the ASSE Backflow Tester Certification.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Identify new and traditional cross-connection control devices.
  2. Identify a range of testing equipment utilized in backflow prevention.
  3. Use standard test procedures and adhere to industry regulations.
  4. Describe common cross-connections in HVAC and irrigation systems.
