Description
Building on the foundations of previous courses, CAR 206 advances students’ skills in interpreting complex technical drawings and blueprints essential for commercial carpentry. The course offers an in-depth analysis of various plans, integrating sustainable building practices through Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. Students apply critical thinking skills to practical scenarios, aligning with industry expectations.


Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Articulate detailed specifications for doors and hardware from blueprints.
  2. Generate comprehensive material lists for window installations from blueprints.
  3. Analyze LEED specifications to ensure compliance in building designs.
