HAC 107 - EPA Refrigerant Certification Preparation Credits: 1 1 Lecture Hours
Description This course assists students in preparing for the EPA refrigerant usage certification exam. Additionally, the three types of certifications (Type I, Type II and Type III) are reviewed. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Compare past, present and future refrigerants.
- Identify safety and environmental issues related to refrigerants and their oils.
- Explain the process of recycling, recovering and reclaiming refrigerant.
- Describe EPA leak rate and record keeping laws.
- Demonstrate through successful completion of practice exams preparedness for the EPA Type I, II and III refrigerant certification.
