PLH 204 - Maintenance Plumbing Credits: 4 4 Skills Lab Hours
Prerequisites: HAC 120 or SEM 105
Description This course prepares students to recognize water supply, drain waste and vent problems. Diagnostic methods and repairs are practiced in a laboratory environment. Conservation fixtures and appliances are discussed and analyzed. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Demonstrate the proper use of plumbing tools and related safety practices.
- Justify the repair or replacement of leaking fixtures.
- Investigate waste drain restrictions.
- Perform a domestic hot water tank replacement.
- Examine automated conservation fixtures.
- Install various plumbing fixtures.
