ART 151 - Travel Photography EXPERIMENTAL Credits: 1 2 Studio Hours
Description This course is designed for student travelers who want to creatively capture their journey through the lens of a digital camera. Students will explore the fundamentals of travel photography, including camera settings, composition techniques and design concepts. Through hands-on projects, students will photograph landscapes, architecture and portraits while developing their artistic vision. Emphasis will be placed on technical skills, compositional techniques and storytelling, enabling students to create compelling visual narratives that reflect the essence of the places they visit. Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate an understanding of camera basics
- Develop compositional skills using the rule of thirds, leading lines, framing and perspective
- Apply the elements and principles of design to photographic images.
- Employ basic photo editing to enhance images.
- Evaluate images for technical competency and aesthetic quality.
