MFT 143 - Introduction to Lathe Operations Credits: 3 1 Lecture Hours 4 Lab Hours Prerequisites: MFT 141 This course is designed to provide students with basic skills in the use of the metal lathe and its parts and applications. Classroom and lab activities will include straight turning, facing, single-point threading, grooving, knurling and taper turning. Students will turn parts to specification, while observing appropriate safety procedures.
