MIS 102 - Medical Coding for Insurance Billing Credits: 4 3 Lecture Hours 3 Lab Hours Prerequisites: ALH 140 and Acceptance into the MIS Program This course will present a comprehensive study of diagnostic and procedural medical coding for insurance billing utilizing the ICD and CPT classification systems. Application of these codes to medical insurance claims forms and their impact on proper reimbursement for health care services will be emphasized.
