MUS 119 - Introduction to Music Technology Credits: 3 1.5 Lecture Hours 1.5 Studio Hours This course introduces students to the technologies used in music production. It covers Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) principles and techniques, as well as the computer applications and outboard equipment used by professional audio engineers. The software used in this class includes programs for audio editing, sequencing and score writing. Instruction is combined with practical application on a digital audio workstation.
