PHY 113 - Technical Physics 1 Credits: 3 2 Lecture Hours 2 Lab Hours Prerequisites: MAT 114 This is a course for students majoring in the engineering technologies. Topics may include force, work, rate, momentum, resistance, power, energy, force transformers, energy converters, transducers, vibrations and waves, time constants, hydrostatics and hydrodynamics and radiation. Physical concepts are developed through applications of the four principle energy forms (mechanical, fluidal, electrical and thermal). Everyday applications are examined in the laboratory.
