POL 110 - State and Local Government Credits: 3 3 Lecture Hours This course focuses on the structure, function and policies of state and local governments in the United States. Special attention is given to the origins and evolution of the American system of Federalism. The relationships among national, state and local governments in the area of education, welfare, criminal justice, economic development and environmental protection are also examined.
