ALH 106 - Basic Life Support Credits: 1 1 Lecture Hours This course in Basic Life Support (BLS)for Health Care Providers includes background information about heart disease, risk factors, prudent heart living and heart and lung function. One- and two-rescuer adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), foreign body airway obstruction management, and pediatric resuscitation are also taught. Students receive certification from the American Heart Association. This course requires a per credit health career fee; check the tuition and fee schedule for the current rate.
