CIT 220 - Linux Operating System Credits: 3 3 Lecture Hours Prerequisites: CIT 115 This course introduces students to the Linux operating system. Lecture and classroom labs utilize a Linux operating system environment to explore the following topics: Installation, Bash shell, the command line interface, file systems, file maintenance tools & commands, window manager configuration, and simple shell scripting. The course is intended for students with some experience of other operating systems but with little or no experience with Linux and can be used in preparation for various Linux certification examinations.
