CJC 102 - Introduction to Corrections Credits: 3 3 Lecture Hours This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the U.S. correctional system. The philosophy, ethical dilemmas and methods of imposing sanctions upon offenders in the criminal justice system will be explored in depth. Exploration of the theories and practice in probation, parole, community-based services, jails, prisons and capital punishment will comprise much of the course.
