DIT 106 - Fundamentals of Nutrition Credits: 3 3 Lecture Hours This is an introductory course which focuses on the major nutrients, including carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins, minerals and water. Throughout the course, practical application of information is emphasized. Special topics addressed include: weight control, eating disorders and sports nutrition. This course requires a per credit health career fee; check the tuition and fee schedule for the current rate.
This course is open to Non-Dietetic Program majors and is taught by a Registered Dietitian (RD).
