AVT 216 - Flight Safety

Co-requisites: AVT 211  

Description
This is a course in safe flight from proper pre-flight planning through the requirements for accident reports. Sources include the Airman’s Information Manual, FAA Regulations, and FAA-sponsored materials.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Analyze and discuss aviation accident causation.
  2. Determine corrective actions for pilot training in aircraft accident prevention.
  3. Explore crew resource management techniques, and demonstrate their use.
  4. Develop a sample corporate aircraft safety program.
  5. Dissect and examine air carrier safety programs.
