Description
This course provides a foundation of mathematics applied to the carpentry trade. Students will practice computational skills and apply analytical solutions to carpentry projects using measurements, geometry and algebra.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Calculate how many squares of shingles will be needed for various types of roofs.
- Estimate underlayment needed to cover various types of roofs.
- Determine how many yards of concrete needed for projects.
- Determine the length of stairwells.
