Associate of Science
This program prepares the student for transfer to a four-year institution by providing them with a broad college background and skill and knowledge in engineering science. Graduates may earn a Bachelor’s degree in any field of engineering by transferring.
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:
- Analyze quantitative data using mathematical/scientific concepts in engineering applications.
- Consider the influence of content and assumptions and recognize the implications and consequences of each.
- Solve engineering equations through the use of content-specific tools, software and simulations.
- Apply the principles of critical thinking and problem solving in the development of technical documents and engineering reports.
- Evaluate information sources and content in engineering problem solving using a critical method.
- Describe the interrelationships of culture and society in their global environment.
