This program addresses individuals, including college graduates from other fields or already working in a different area of Information Technology (IT), who are interested in a career involving cybersecurity technical support of a computer network and its data.

This program provides students with specific technical competencies for entry-level employment opportunities as a network cybersecurity support specialist. Their duties include implementing security polices with respect to an organization’s servers, desktop and mobile equipment. They also ensure the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of data in its various forms and storage. Students interested in later obtaining industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ and Security+ can benefit from the knowledge and skills provided by this program.

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

  1. Identify, describe and analyze vulnerabilities, threats and risks for critical information assets.
  2. Plan, implement and maintain security measures and controls to protect critical information assets.
  3. Prevent, detect, analyze and respond to system intrusions and data breaches.
