Certificate

This program provides students currently holding a degree or working in an Information Technology field with employment opportunities in application software development.

Students obtain a foundation in computer programming concepts, systems development and data modeling. Students learn software development and programming skills using object-oriented languages such as Java, Visual Basic and C++.

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

  1. Apply appropriate software development tools to analyze requirements using appropriate data and work flow models.
  2. Implement software to collect, process and present data and information used by business and consumers.
  3. Utilize object-oriented programming constructs for various data types, arrays, methods and graphical user interfaces.
  4. Implement database management systems to organize, store and retrieve data and information for use by application software.
