The Dual Enrollment University Academy promotes competency in English composition, mathematics, analytical reasoning and computer literacy – essential 21st century skills for workplace & college success; building blocks for many degree programs.
Prior to enrolling in the University Academy, students will take CCAC placement tests. Students in the University Academy will score 263 - 300 for CRE Reading requirements, in order to eliminate the need for CRE reading. Students will be appropriate for ENG 101/101L via English Self-Directed Placement. If students are not appropriate for MAT 142, there are the additional options of BUS 101 or CIT 115.
Dual Enrollment courses for the University Academy will be taught by CCAC full-time faculty and/or CCAC faculty adjuncts selected by department heads.
The Dual Enrollment team will work with planning and orientation with high school leaders – but University Academy courses will occur on CCAC Campuses and/or CCAC Centers, following CCAC course timelines and schedules.
Dual Enrollment University Academy courses will be open to any CCAC student.
We will offer CCAC Dual Enrollment University Academy courses with the modalities including in-person on CCAC Campuses & Centers, remote Zoom, asynchronous online, & hybrid options, as appropriate to discipline scheduling and staffing.
