Associate of Science

The Multimedia Programming, Simulation and Gaming degree provides skills and knowledge applicable to a broad range of careers in multimedia production including independent game developer, computer programming, game designer, 3D modeller and animator, video game tester, story designer and art designer. Students learn technical training including game design and development, modeling and animation software tools, digital imaging and programming. During the process of this degree, students develop a portfolio to showcase their work to potential employers and transfer counselors. 

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

  1. Apply 2D and 3D animation concepts to design and develop a single-level game.
  2. Integrate programming skills to create multimedia projects.
  3. Create a multimedia production piece from concept to completion.
  4. Use industry standard software to create multimedia projects.
  5. Develop communication skills to prepare for industry standard presentations.

Credits may be articulated for courses completed in high school career and technology programs.
