Certificate
This five-year certificate program offers qualifying applicants occupational education. Qualifying applicants are those covered by Third Party Agreements with their International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Locals, apprentices in the process of becoming Journeymen Wiremen or Journeymen Wiremen who have already completed IBEW apprenticeship programs.
Students have classroom, hands-on and on-the job experiences in Journeyman Wireman electrical work through their IBEW Local apprenticeship program. Upon completion of the curriculum and the job experience hours, the students are eligible to take the IBEW Journeyman Wireman Examination. Those who successfully complete the apprenticeship program and pass the examination receive proof of apprenticeship completion of an IBEW apprenticeship program. This proof allows graduates to work in residential, commercial and industrial construction as skilled Journeymen Wiremen and in all aspects of the electrical and teledata industry.
