This program prepares students for employment in the Data Analytics field.  It is designed for students who have degrees or are working in associated professions.  Data Analytics is the identification, analysis and  interpretation of volumes of data that are collected from a wide variety of sources.  Students will learn to identify patterns and relationships in large data sets, to resolve business questions and make data-driven decisions and effectively communicate informed tactical and strategic business objectives.  Careers include data analyst, data
scientist, database administrators and statistical assistants.

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

  1. Describe data challenges in a variety of industries.
  2. Organize information from many sources.
  3. Apply statistical tools to discover patterns and relationships in large data sets.
  4. Recommend solutions to business problems through use of data mining techniques.
  5. Communicate tactical and strategic objectives by utilizing data visualization techniques.
