EAL 061 - EAL Pronunciation

Description
This course provides instruction in listening and speaking English for non-native speakers. It emphasizes oral communication and pronunciation while allowing students to maintain their accents.


Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Produce clear consonant and vowel sounds when speaking English.
  2. Identify word stress patterns based on contextual variables.
  3. Demonstrate appropriate body language during English conversations.
  4. Monitor personal speaking volume appropriate to different situations.
  5. Adjust speech rate to enhance listener comprehension.
