CJC 101 - Introduction to Criminal Justice Credits: 3 3 Lecture Hours This course is a study of crime, societal reaction to crime and the components of the criminal justice system, law enforcement, the courts and corrections. The student is introduced to the philosophical and historical backgrounds as well as their purposes and functions of each component. The major theories of crime causation, control and rehabilitation of the offender are discussed.
