ECT 251 - Adv Electrical Construction Tech 2

Prerequisites: ECT 201  
This course presents information necessary for the understanding of digital electronics.  Students are introduced to magnetic motor controls including pilot devices, both manual and automatic.  Magnetic control relays, control transformers and power requirements, speed of operations, noise immunity and limits are examined.  The types of decision-making logic elements of digital electronic conditions are verified using procedures performed as part of
the course.  The course also explores the development of logic circuits and controls, switching circuits, fiber optic theory and installation.  A separate laboratory experience provides students with opportunities to apply and work with concepts learned in the classroom.
