MMC 250 - Three-Dimensional Design for Gaming

Prerequisites: ART 114  

 
Description
In this course, students will create three-dimensional (3D) objects and complex 3D models for animation. Students will utilize gaming software including Blender and Multimedia Fusion in their 3D designs.


Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Draw spines that will create basic geometric shapes using the primitives found in the software.
  2. Animate models by using basic keyframing techniques.
  3. Render proper settings in gaming software.
  4. Interpret 3D views, camera angles and their purpose in 3D environments.
  5. Apply basic lighting concepts in 3D gaming software.
  6. Explain keyframe animation.
  7. Apply basic materials in 3D design models.
