AVT 103 - Air Traffic Control Systems Credits: 3 3 Lecture Hours
Co-requisites: AVT 101
Description This course is a study of the development, growth and usage of the air traffic control system with emphasis on its use in the United States. The course will also introduce common aviation terminology and expand upon basic Private Pilot aeronautical knowledge. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Describe routine aeronautical processes.
- Identify airport signage.
- Discuss basic navigational equipment.
- Illustrate proper cross-country planning procedures.
- Describe Air Traffic Control procedures and services.
- Define common aviation terms.
