CET 215 - Site Plan Development Credits: 4 4 Lecture Hours
Description This course focuses on site planning and design that takes into account all physical problems or assets of the land. Emphasis is placed on the task of moving people, buildings and vehicles into a functional order to produce a logical, aesthetic solution. Analysis of the profitability of land development and green and sustainable building sites are discussed. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Analyze the logical steps in determining a specific plan for site development.
- Develop order and function to the various elements in the design to follow a logical pattern for analysis.
- Describe methods of storm water management and erosion control.
- Compare and contrast methods for green and sustainable building site design.
- Develop a plan for streets, roads and parking areas for potential new site plans.
- Analyze methods for pedestrian and bicycle circulation for these potential new site plans.
