Description
This course provides a foundation of mathematics applied to the carpentry trade. Students will practice computational skills and apply analytical solutions to carpentry projects using measurements, geometry and algebra.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Estimate required roof material from blue prints.
- Calculate the unit rise and run of a stairway given the total rise.
- Operate a construction master calculator.
- Calculate compound angles for trim molding.
