Associate of Science

This University Parallel Program provides the first and second year foundations for successful transfer towards a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university. Students should select specialized courses that align with their intended program of study at their identified transfer institution. Students are encouraged to meet with a transfer counselor to effectively design a plan for successful transfer into a program/discipline at a four-year institution.

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

  1. Demonstrate written and oral communication skills necessary for transition to a four-year institution.
  2. Successfully complete academic tasks using digital technology, applications and collaboration tools relevant to their program or discipline.
  3. Describe the scope of their chosen major field and its core theories and practices using appropriate terminology.
  4. Analyze data using sound mathematical/scientific concepts.
  5. Explain how diverse perspectives affect interpretations of issues in politics, society and human relationships.
  6. Acquire and evaluate information through technological and traditional means as relevant to their chosen major field of concentration.

Major Field Electives must align with transfer plan.
