EET 240 - Electrical Power/Motors Credits: 4 3 Lecture Hours 2 Lab Hours Prerequisites: MIT 210 or Equivalent This course delineates the application of electrical theory and the use of electrical machinery and equipment. Direct current motors, generators and alternating current machinery, such as transformers, single-phase motors, polyphase and induction motors are studied. Typical motor control devices, such as Diode for Alternating Current (DIAC), Triode for Alternating Current (TRIAC) and Silicon Control Rectifiers (SCR) are also covered.
