WLD 181 - Ironworker Welding 1.2 Credits: 1 1 Lecture Hours
Prerequisites: WLD 180
Description This course is a continuation of electric arc welding and oxygen-fuel flame cutting. Emphasis will be placed upon safety procedures and proper equipment set up and usage. Additional basic arc welding and torch cutting will be performed. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Identify the different types of welding power sources.
- Explain the basic principles of Shielded Metal Arc Welding.
- Comprehend welding polarities and their applications.
