WLD 182 - Ironworker Welding 1.3

Description
This course is a continuation of electric arc welding and oxygen-fuel flame cutting. Emphasis will be placed upon electrode groups and classifications.


Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Identify the different AWS electrode groups.
  2. Select the proper electrode for the job.
  3. Relate the importance of electrode storage and care.
  4. Weld basic stringer beads in the 2F, 3F, and 4F positions using appropriate safety measures.
