Description
This course is designed to enhance the apprentice ironworker’s welding skills. Emphasis will be placed upon arc length, travel speed, starts, and stops.


Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding.
  2. Demonstrate the start, stop, and restart functions on a bead proficiently.
  3. Build multiple pass welds at a beginner level of proficiency.
