The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technology degree prepares the graduate for employment in the modern CAD environment. Students are skilled in preparing complete, concise and accurate computer-based engineering communications.
Students function as a member of the engineering team demonstrating professionalism, responsibility and confidence. Through multiple projects, students are skilled in solving both two-dimensional and three-dimensional technical problems involving parametric and solid modeling using modern CAD programs.
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:
- Recognize engineering graphics as a universal language for communicating technical concepts.
- Integrate software and hardware to develop and illustrate design ideas.
- Apply the principles of critical thinking and problem solving in the development of technical drawings.
- Apply descriptive geometry methods to the solution of spatial problems.
