The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technology degree prepares the graduate for employment in the modern CAD environment. Students are skilled in preparing complete, concise and accurate computer-based engineering communications.

Students function as a member of the engineering team demonstrating professionalism, responsibility and confidence. Through multiple projects, students are skilled in solving both two-dimensional and three-dimensional technical problems involving parametric and solid modeling using modern CAD programs.

Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:

  1. Recognize engineering graphics as a universal language for communicating technical concepts. 
  2. Integrate software and hardware to develop and illustrate design ideas.
  3. Apply the principles of critical thinking and problem solving in the development of technical drawings.
  4. Apply descriptive geometry methods to the solution of spatial problems.
