MMC 260 - 3D Modeling Design and Layout Credits: 3 3 Skills Lab Hours
Description This course focuses on introducing students to the practices of creating 3D model designs for multiple platforms. Students are familiarized with 3D terminology and practices for multiple platforms. Content created in the course is project-based and will be prepared for portfolio presentations. This course prepares students to apply proper modeling practices and techniques that are utilized in numerous industries. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Define 3D terminology used with 3D modelling.
- Identify anatomy of different 3D elements used in modelling.
- Construct 3D models for different genres of 3D design.
- Apply textures and materials to self-created models.
- Build 3D models for different platforms.
- Prepare UV maps for use on developed 3D models.
- Produce usable models for everyday needs.
- Develop 3D renders for portfolio use.
