NUR 240 - Complex Health Concepts for Nursing Practice

Description
This course focuses on caring for adults with complex, acute and chronic health problems through didactic instruction, simulated laboratory and clinical experiences. This course requires a per credit health career fee; check the tuition and fee schedule for the current rate.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Analyze clinical judgment in the nursing care of patients with acute and chronic health alterations.
- Create a caring environment that respects the culture of patients with acute and chronic health alterations.
- Integrate therapeutic communication techniques with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members.
- Integrate healthcare teaching in the delivery of nursing care for patients with acute and chronic health alterations.
- Analyze the use of evidence-based practice and ethical behavior in providing care for patients with acute and chronic health alterations.
