Description A course providing a physician’s insights into medical and surgical topics related to respiratory therapy with an emphasis on MD/therapist communication. This course requires a per credit health career fee; check the tuition and fee schedule for the current rate. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- Identify the role of the physician and describe the relationship between the physician and respiratory therapist.
- Identify the difference between a complete and incomplete order from a physician.
- Interpret a respiratory therapy order and apply various treatment options (modalities) to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Develop a respiratory therapy care plan.
