The Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed for students to obtain a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License and gain employment as entry level drivers in the transportation/logistics field. The program features a balance between classroom instruction in regulations and best practices, and hands-on driving experience with a qualified instructor.
 
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will: 
1. Recognize relevant trucking industry rules and regulations.
2. Demonstrate industry standard practices pertaining to safe transportation of cargo and hazardous materials.
3. Perform commercial vehicle inspections and basic routine maintenance tasks.
4. Apply safe driving practices in an actual vehicle on commerical, residential and industrial roadways.

Degree Requirements


Minimum Credits to Graduate: 17


All CDL courses must be completed in the same semester.
